Enjoy our Summer of Free Fun at Frasers Plus Braehead.
Join in on the fun of Maggie’s Scotties in the City, the colourful public art trail taking place across Glasgow this summer.
Come and spot Frasers Plus Braehead’s very own Scottie sculpture as part of the city-wide trail, which celebrates creativity while raising awareness and support for Maggie’s.
Whether you’re following the trail across Glasgow or simply visiting the centre for the day, it’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy one of Scotland’s biggest cultural events right on your doorstep – don’t forget to snap a selfie with Frasers Plus Braehead’s Scottie while you’re there and tag @BraeheadCentre.
Join Frasers Plus Braehead for a vibrant weekend of family-friendly creativity on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August, these two full days of colourful activities run daily from 10am–6pm. These events support Maggie’s, forming part of their inspiring Scottie in the City trail, bringing the community together through art, imagination, and a shared cause.
Visitors can design their very own Scottie tote bag — a brilliant chance for children and adults to create a personalised keepsake. This activity is available for a small £3 donation, with all proceeds going directly to Maggie’s. It’s an easy, enjoyable way to contribute to a charity that provides vital support to people affected by cancer.
Alongside the tote bags, there will be colourful floral arts and crafts, perfect for younger children who love bright colours and simple creative play.
On Sunday, there’s a special highlight: the chance to meet the artist behind Flower O’ Scotland, one of the standout sculptures from the Scottie in the City trail. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from Jenni Sheward, the creator and learn about the inspiration behind the artwork, and gain insight into the wider project.
Across both days, the event blends creativity, community spirit, and charitable support — offering families a memorable experience while helping raise funds for a meaningful cause If you would like more information on Scottie in the City and Maggies, click here.

Designed with families in mind, the activation will feature two dedicated play areas – one for children aged five and under and another for children over five – allowing youngsters of different ages to enjoy the experience safely. Whether it’s little ones diving into the ball pool or parents and grandparents capturing the perfect family photo, the free experience is designed to bring generations together for summer fun.
